The new EON15-S seriously undercuts the rest of Origin’s laptop lineup on price. It has a 1080p IPS screen, weights five pounds, claims up to six hours of battery life, and is based on the 1050 Ti with 4GB of video RAM. It’s not the prettiest or slimmest gaming laptop out there, but PC gaming laptop beggars can’t be PC gaming laptop choosers.
The base specs are certainly minimal, with a Core i3-7100H 3.00GHz processor, 8GB of 2133MHz RAM, and a 120GB SSD. But, thankfully, almost everything except for the screen and graphics card are configurable. You can bump the processor up to an i7, pack in a bunch of faster RAM, or include an M.2 boot drive. If you prioritize right, you can probably spec out an ideal EON15-S for your exact use case without going much over $1,300. Origin has a great reputation in custom PCs.
